SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn – Everything You Need To Know But Were Afraid To Ask

Speaker: Chuck Heinzelman, Senior Program Manager, SQLCAT, Data Platform Group Microsoft

Summary: AlwaysOn is the high availability and disaster recovery functionality built into SQL Server 2012. But what really is it? And what do you get for using it? We’ll take some time to talk about the technology at a high level, then dive into actually getting it up and running – including Availability Groups, Read-Only Routing, Listeners and Backups. Who knows…you might even see some PowerShell and Windows Server Core!
