SQL Server Management Studio Tips and Tricks

Please join us for the presentation on April 3rd at the Secura Insurance (East Building) where we will have special guest Gary D. Schultz from West Bend Mutual Insurance discussing "SQL Server Management Studio Tips and Tricks"

Gary is a production DBA and Systems Engineer for West Bend Mutual Insurance (TheSilverLining.com). He is one of the chapter leaders for WISSUG and in his spare time, sings in the house band for WBMI, is learning guitar and bass for his church band, and serves on the board of Citizen Advocates of Washington County (CAwash.org – Our mission is to bring life-enriching relationships to people living with disabilities).

A little bit about Gary's discussion:
"Work smarter, not harder. Increase your productivity in coding and management of SQL server by understanding some of the “hidden” gems in SSMS, Visual Studio and Powershell IDE’s. Knowing just a few basic regular expressions could save you a lot of effort and there are some very useful extensions cost nothing to implement. There are also some newer features in the latest SSMS that you may not have had time to investigate. This talk will be one long demo, which will hopefully have something for every level of SQL server user or developer."

If you missed our previous meetups you can always catch them on our Fox Pass Youtube channel!

Gary loves tools and learning to work smarter. Gary has attended all of the SQL Saturday events in Madison, WI and PASS Summit 2015. He has spoken at his local chapter of PASS - Wisconsin SQL Server Users Group (WISSUG) on virtualization and SQL install automation (SPADE).
